When I was a kid, I always wanted a custom bedroom.
My best friend's room was "under-the-sea" themed, with blue walls and a yellow ceiling, matching decorations, and dolphins everywhere — and I was insanely jealous.
Unfortunately, the personalized bedroom never happened for me, but to this day I still love looking at incredible kids' rooms — like this stunning Harry Potter nursery.
Some parents just have a knack for creating masterpieces. From murals on the walls, to indoor tree houses, to one-of-a-kind beds, they know how to make their kids feel special.
And this dad is no exception. The man, who goes by "radamshome" on Reddit and Imgur, created one of the most incredibly unique cribs.
Although he doesn't have a baby who could use the crib right now (his daughter is too old), he spent 90 hours working on this insane submarine crib — and he's planning to auction it off.

He explained on Imgur:
I used my own garage workshop and had help from a buddy who taught me the basics of fiberglass.
Here's the finished product after about 90 hours and $1,250.00 in materials.
I plan to auction this to raise money for Seattle Children's Hospital later this year.

For inspiration, I spent a few hours searching the webs for cartoony submarines…
I started sketching to get an idea of shapes and proportions.
As soon as I was happy with the pencil drawing, I started modeling in 3D.

Once he had the plans finished, he bought some foam panels and fiberglass mat.
He used the foam to build out the shape for the front and back of the submarine.

Once the rounded shapes were made, he put blue painter's tape over it to smooth out the surface and help with the fiberglass matting.
Next, he put the fiberglass shell over the foam.

After that step, it was time to start building out the wooden part of the frame.
Using wood and more foam, he created the rest of the structure for the submarine shape.

Finally, it was time to paint!
He used a nice blue color for the body of the submarine, and a bright yellow for the top and bottom.

The finished submarine crib also featured real functional lights and a spinning propellor.
What do you think of this incredible crib? Do you know a kid who would love this?
