Cats are known for being extra sneaky and stealthy. They're as flexible as can be, and they're so light on their feet that you scarcely ever hear them coming to attack your socks.
However, just because they're sneaky doesn't mean that they, too, can't be startled or scared sometimes! They can go from entirely gymnastic to total spazz in an instant.
These surprised cats are certainly not in harm's way by any stretch of the imagination, but they were certainly quite surprised to see their humans when the pictures were taken.

This guy was not ready to have his picture taken.
"Came home. This is not my cat. We were both surprised."
