I've seen about a hundred Ice Bucket Challenge videos on my Facebook feed. From friends that I went to highschool with, to the friends of my parents that have a Facebook account. I've even seen my friends' kids do the challenge (although I'm not quite sure that the 4 year old really figured out what ALS really stands for, and why everyone is doing this in the first place).
There is, however, one person that I never imaged doing the Ice Bucket Challenge. Because, after all, the ice bucket challenge was made to raise awareness about the very disease that this person has…. And considering what ALS does to the body, it would be virtually impossible for this person to perform the challenge of dumping ice cold water on their heads.
But.. sometimes the unexpected happens! Watch the video below, and please sound off in the comments. Do you agree with the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge? Have you do it yourself?
There are many out there that are claiming that the ALS organization is not using the funds it receives fairly, using much of the donations for administrative purposes, but if the tens of thousands of people doing this challenge are made aware of this terrible disease, does that even matter?
