A rescue dog from Nevada has become an unlikely hero to young children born with similar birth defects, in a story that truly melts my heart. Stitch was rescued after being found by a homeless man in California. The six-month-old puppy was born with two cleft lips AND a cleft palate, a condition that puppies rarely survive.
The surgery is extremely expensive and as Stitch's foster mom tried to start a campaign to fund the operation, she NEVER expected that the dog's story would be so inspirational to two young children born with similar birth defects.
