This Teen Rapper Is Terminally Ill, But That Didn’t Stop Him From Landing The Record Deal Of A Lifetime.

For any 19-year-old, landing a record deal with a major music company is an incredible accomplishment , but for Jeff Mortimer the chance means everything. When Mortimer was only 16 years old, he was diagnosed with spindle cell sarcoma, a deadly and very rare form of cancer. For the past three years Mortimer, who goes by his rap name "Young Jay" has gone through awful amounts of radiation and chemotherapy, but he says that where he is today is exactly where he wants to be.

Young Jay gets to perform with his group, "LDL 365", which stands for "Living The Life, 365 Days A Year" and he just signed a record deal with Sony. Mortimer believes that instead of being sad about his condition, he wants to make the most of the time he does have on this planet. He hopes that his music can bring joy and hope to others who know struggles in life. If this amazing young man inspires you to make the most of your life each day, please SHARE his story.
