Tiny Toddler Beats The Odds And Doesn’t Listen To What The Doctors Say

When doctors saw that the child inside of mother-to-be Hannah Peters wasn't growing at the usual speed, they quickly determined that her tiny baby probably wasn't going to make it.

As the due date came closer and closer, they were nearly totally sure that the baby inside of her wasn't going to live past two months and that life wasn't going to be compatible outside of the womb.

They told Hannah that he would only be 3 pounds and that he wasn't going to cry when he was born because he would be too small and weak. However, Hannah held out hope and felt in her soul that her little baby was going to be a fighter. Since then, she's been keeping up an amazing blog just to update the world on how Jude is doing.

So when Jude was born, he managed to prove all the doubters hopelessly wrong: he was 6 pounds and as the doctors held him up, he let out a mighty cry that his mother could only describe as a "warrior's cry!"

And even though he wasn't supposed to make it past two months, you should see how he's doing two years later.

Check out the rest of Jude's incredible story below!

Things seemed to be going well enough until, on the thirteenth week of Hannah's pregnancy, the baby was diagnosed with a rare form of skeletal dysplasia.

Multiple specialists told the mother-to-be that her baby simply wasn't going to make it. He would be tiny and weak and wouldn't be able to even cry due to the heartbreaking diagnosis. But the family kept up their faith, and after 40 weeks, Hannah managed to carry her little angel to term.

The doctors said he was going to be 3 pounds: Jude weighed 6.

They said he wasn't even going to have the strength to cry: but in his first moments of life, he let out a mighty "warrior's cry!"

They said he wasn't going to make it past two months.

Hannah and Sully knew that their baby was going to need a lot of hope, love and prayers. They had their faith and an amazing support system of friends and family, but when you have a doctor telling you that your baby won't make it past two months, that could make anyone lose hope.

Luckily, Jude is about as close to a real-life superhero as you could meet. Two months turned into six, which turned into a year — and just recently, this little boy turned 2 years old!

Along with his close friends, it seems like little Jude is going to keep fighting no matter how hard things get. It's no surprise why his story has inspired so many thousands of people all over the planet!

Doctors believe that Jude suffers from skeletal dysplasia called RCDP (rhizomelic chondrodysplasia punctata). With this disease, one can usually expect heart defects, neurological damage, and kidney problems. However, it seems like Jude's heart and kidney scans came out perfectly normal.

Along with his grandmother, it seems like he's already being spoiled rotten!

Jude's growth is stunted due to RCDP, and he has to wear clothes that are the size for a 3-month-old, but he's still fighting every single day of his little life.

The disease is so rare that less than 100 children worldwide are confirmed to have it. But doctors in Delaware are on the cusp of finding a cure that could help Jude live a long and fulfilling life.

With the help of the amazing team of specialists at Nemours Alfred L. DuPont Hospital for Children, little Jude might beat his disease for good!

Jude will certainly have some hurdles to jump over the years. His extreme form of dwarfism will give him some pretty large mountains to climb.

But while Jude's body might be small, his spirit is about as big as you could possibly imagine. Doctors said he wouldn't make it time and time again; he has fought and fought so hard, and managed to beat the odds every single time.

And when you have such a strong will to fight and you're surrounded by the love of friends and family, something tells us that little Jude will be able to continue beating those odds.

With the research being done and the amazing spirit of Jude, it almost seems like he was destined for this path. His story has spread awareness of his disease to millions of people who wouldn't have even known about it, were it not for his inspiring journey.
