Man’s Unique Tornado Shelter Is Conveniently Built Under His Bed

If you live in an area where tornados are a common occurrence, then you probably have a tornado shelter somewhere in or around your home. These shelters are important to have, and it's critical that they are still functional before every storm season.

But if you think about the way these shelters are made, you may agree that there are some flaws in their design. They often only have one entrance. In the case of a storm, if this door is blocked, there is no way for you and your loved ones to leave the shelter!

Luckily, a man name Russell Girod has perhaps found a solution to the problem, and has solved a few others of his own in the process. He saw the flaw in the shelters' design, and wanted to change it. He also didn't want to spend a whopping $5,000 on a shelter he didn't like. At the same time, his wife was complaining about the squeaky boxspring. So came up with a genius plan: build a tornado shelter under the bed, so it could be easily accessed and have not just one, but two entryways. And the result is surprisingly roomy!

Remember, it's always good to have a plan before severe weather hits.
