Let’s face it, no one likes the morning. Before you have your first cup of coffee you really don’t pay attention to anything, all you want to do is get to work in one piece.
And that’s exactly what one well-known band expected when they played a few of their own hits in the middle of a busy New York City subway station.
They had some help from comedian Jimmy Fallon, who gave them disguises and also donned his own as he cruised through the commuters in the subway, trying to get them to pay attention to the “local artists” who were playing.
This is not the first time someone famous played in a subway: This artist did it in the Washington, D.C., subway, and another group surprised people when they started belting a song from a popular Disney movie on the New York City subway.
But for this performance, the real surprise hadn’t been revealed just yet.
When the hats and mustaches came off, everyone was completely shocked that they hadn’t even recognized the faces or the voices of these band members. But that definitely didn’t stop them from having a fantastic time at the free concert.
Fans danced and sang along with some of their favorite songs, and even took selfies with the band. Every single person was pinching themselves just to make sure they really hadn’t missed this amazing moment, and for those lucky few, they really were in the right place at the right time.
