Six-year-old Addison had always dreamed of meeting a pink unicorn. She believed that these mystical beasts roamed the forests of Hawaii, and through the help of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, her dream of meeting one recently came true!
Addison has been in remission after battling lymphoid leukemia for two-and-a-half years, and when Make-A-Wish heard about her special wish, they arranged a magical unicorn adventure for her with the help of playwright Alvin Chan and volunteers from Diamond Heart Theatre.
The little girl and her family traveled all the way from Georgia to Oahu for this amazing experience.

Addison's fairy tale journey began in Waimea Valley, which was made into the magical town of "Arboretia."
Princess Addison was serenaded by a forest dweller and began a quest to find the prettiest flower in Arboretia.
After completing special tasks to free the forest's Queen, she was told to sing "Somewhere Over the Rainbow," and that's when the unicorn emerged.
The horse playing the unicorn is named Sonny, and was exceedingly sweet and gentle with the little princess.
Princess Addison made sure to give him a big kiss!
She even got to go for a ride on her new unicorn friend, the perfect ending to a perfect fairy tale.
“Even when she was in the throes of the heaviest doses of chemo, when there were days when she couldn’t even walk because she was so weak and her blood counts were so low, she still had a smile on her face," Addison's mother told KHON2.
The look of delight on her face when she meets the unicorn really says it all!
