All of us are genuinely kind at heart. Deep inside, we all want to lend a hand and help those who are struggling or in need.
In the past, we've seen goodhearted bystanders take immediate action to save lives, as well as passersby who have saved the lives of endangered animals — but not all "lifesavers" literally save lives. Sometimes, people fall into dire situations of another nature, and seek assistance in the form comfort and compassion.
One young couple from Aiken, SC, experienced such compassion recently. The Purvises had, in their own words, "hit rock bottom." After dining at a restaurant one night, a pair of good samaritans did something wholly life-changing for the little family of four.
"It meant a whole lot. It really took our lives from upside down to right side up," said Courtney Purvis.

One couple from Aiken, SC, recently received a very gracious gift. After dining at a local Waffle House, they were waiting to pay the bill...
But instead of receiving a receipt, the waiter handed a note to them. It read, "Your bill has already been paid for. Y'all have a great night. (The table in front of you paid.)"
The couple looked around, but the mysterious good Samaritan had already left. The kind deed couldn't have come at a better time...
Just days before, the Purvises were told that their two-year-old son, who has Down syndrome, needed surgery. “It’s made me think that there are people out there that care... Some people just go over the top, and do things that you don’t expect them to do,
Sometimes it’s the little things in life that matter the most. One little gesture, one little smile, one little note like this one — can entirely change someone’s day, or outlook on life.
