All This War Veteran Wanted Was To Get Home, But When He Arrived? OMG!

When Sgt. Jacinto Bernardo returned home from his deployment in Okinawa, Japan, all this California native wanted was a hamburger and some quality time with his family.

What he got instead was the surprise of his life! After 21 years of service to the United States, Bernardo's friends felt that this Marine truly deserved a happy home to return to, so they formed a team and gave his humble house a $70,000 facelift.

Bernardo never saw it coming…new floors, a new ceiling — a brand new look, but it was still his home. A friend of Bernardo's for 21 years came up with the idea and got local contractors and volunteers involved for the big surprise. When Bernardo pulled up to his new home, he started sobbing, which truly makes all of the hard work worth it. I can't think of someone more deserving than this sergeant!
