Thrift shopping can lead you to a lot of incredible finds. For one bride, a trip to check out the racks at her local Goodwill resulted in her finding not one, but two dresses for her big day.
Rachel Connealy wasn't looking to spend what the average bride spends on her wedding day fashion — a national average of $1,631 — according to Brides. The Floridian bride decided to check out local thrift stores to see if she could find something.
Rachel isn't just financially savvy but fashion smart, too. She wanted two looks for her wedding day, and she got just that for a grand total of $8.
For her ceremony dress, a full-length silk gown, Rachel paid just $3.
"I find this dress in the corner, not with the other dresses, and it was like a gift from God," she told Inside Edition.
"I actually left the Goodwill and I literally cried, and I called my mom and I was like, 'Remember the dresses that I've been showing you that I wanted so bad? I found one and it fits me like a glove.'"
And as if that's not sweet enough, luck struck again when Rachel found another incredible dress for her reception for just $5, two weeks before the wedding.
"You never know what you’ll find at the thrift two weeks before your wedding," she captioned a TikTok video featuring photos of her in the dress.
