Here's a clip the TODAY Show producers probably don't want you to see…
It's difficult for many of us to remember life before the internet took over, so this clip from the Today Show in 1994 will take you back to a time when the question on everyone's mind was the same: "What exactly is the internet?"
There's no denying that people today are addicted to technology. Everywhere I go, I see people walking around with their heads down, missing the world around them, like in this video.
Sure we can order soup with the click of a mouse and video chat with people anywhere in the world for free, but some people could argue that we were a lot better off during simpler times.
In this flashback video from over 20 years ago, Katie Couric, Bryant Gumbel, and Elizabeth Vargas discuss the "@" sign and the confusing "internet" trend that had yet to catch on. It's absolutely crazy to think about a time when no one knew what any of it meant, but I still remember it very well.
I remember the days of one email address per household, dial-up modems, and computers that seemed to weigh 200 pounds — do you?!
