For a lot of people who live in cities, it might come as a bit of a shock that there are millions and millions of animals all over the United States. And while usually humans and animals manage to coexist with each other, from time to time our paths will cross.
Usually, for animals trying to cross the road, it can often end in tragedy. Both for the animal and even sometimes the person behind the wheel, but thankfully it seems like a family of geese has learned what to do when it comes to a busy road!
While most animals will take their chance and rush across the road, this particular family of fowl seems to be totally aware that using the crosswalk is the safest way to go! With a whole bunch of baby geese behind them, the adults safely escort the little ones to the safety of the pond on the other side of the road.
While that's certainly quite adorable, we're so thankful for all the people waiting so patiently in their cars. The lead car on the other side of traffic waited a bit longer once the geese were safe, just to make sure the big vehicle wouldn't startle the birds too badly. No one honked their horn, and everyone let nature do what nature does best!
We especially love the commentary from Dad as he films the whole event. "Well trained!" he exclaims, as the birds pass by. They certainly are smart!
Please SHARE this adorable video if you would stop your car and wait, too!
