When Julie and Samuel Spencer found themselves unable to conceive children, the couple decided to throw themselves into their careers in order to help with the grief they both felt from not being able to become parents.
After Samuel’s death, Julie found herself regretting not looking into adoption as she found a new depth of sorrow being without her life partner of 56 years. She closed herself off from everything and moved back to Tennessee, where her late parents had left her the family home.
The old house appeared to be a bit spooky, but that helped to keep Julie hidden away from the world and able to avoid any interactions with her neighbors.
Approximately three years after she moved back, she was awoken from sleep by a loud knock on her door. She heard a voice from outside say, “Mom, please open the door.”
Julie immediately thought that she must have imagined it all, because just a few days prior she watched her new neighbors move in with three beautiful triplets. She was convinced that it was just her loneliness playing tricks on her.
Later on, the knocks continued, accompanied by a voice that was begging her to open up. When Julie finally opened up her door to see if anyone was actually out there, she was met with a handsome young man.
“It’s you! Mom, it’s Mother’s day, and… I found you!” exclaimed the excited stranger standing before her.
