Many of us remember what it was like to play with a pretty pink Barbie doll.
34-year-old Azusa Sakamoto's first Barbie-themed purchase was a lunchbox that she bought when she was 15; she was completely in love and used up all of her pocket money to buy it.
Since then, her Barbie obsession has grown and grown into a full-blown pink-drenched lifestyle.
She has spent thousands of dollars on clothing, makeup, and home goods with pink Barbie branding— she even owns over 140 dolls!
Being a big fan of American culture since her teens, her first Barbie purchase turned her into a full-blown super fan.
Now she works in Los Angeles as a nail artist, where she also indulges in her love for barbie in her nail designs.
Her professional life is as pink and Barbie-fied as her home, with doll-themed equipment and designs all over.
"I want to be Barbie's exclusive nail artist, I love designing nails which are themed with her newest outfits," she explained to Daily Mail.
Her closet at home is a wacky colorful world, with over 60 handbags, all devoted to Barbie.
She also posts pictures of her staggering collection on Instagram.
Every inch of her home is covered in Barbie pictures, decor, and bedding.
She even has some furniture pieces that you would never expect to have signature logo—a Barbie toilet seat, anyone?
'To me Barbie shows girls that we can be anything we want, she shows us how to have fun," she explains.
"Barbie is just perfect to me, I just love how she looks, she's independent and she has such a positive attitude."
And though she is definitely obsessed over her aesthetic, Sakamoto stresses that she is not trying to be Barbie.
She is also pretty particular about her merchandise and will only buy from the official Barbie brand.
"I'm actually really fussy, I won't buy anything new unless the colour is pastel pink, Barbie pink or strawberry milkshake pink," she explained.
And if there is anything in her home that isn't part of the Barbie brand, she'll cover it accordingly in stickers and designs.
Within her impressive display of Barbies, she has dolls ranging from vintage to modern, with one costing over $1,100!
Her favorite of the bunch is the glamerous Movie Mixer Barbie doll.
She's always eager to find new Barbie-themed trinkets to buy; and explains that, as soon as she gets her paycheck, she is back online looking for more merchandise.
She also recently traveled to a collector's convention and definitely got a lot of attention for her all-out Barbie obsession.
She also has a boyfriend who fully supports her unparalleled devotion to the famous doll.
"Barbie has been in my life for as long as I can remember now so if I was asked to choose between a man and my Barbie stuff I'd pick Barbie," she stated.
Though she is aware that her lifestyle may come off as a little strange to others, she is comfortable living her pretty pink fantasy regardless.
"I'm Barbie's biggest fan – everyone thinks I'm crazy but I don't care."
She has also amassed a lot of cyberspace followers, who are eager to see her next big Barbie purchase.
She has even dyed her hair pink and has made Barbie part of her own identity—referring to herself as Azusa Barbie.
