The first step to making your crock pot peach upside down cake is to combine the flour, baking powder and sugar into a mixing bowl.

Stir well to get everything sifted together.

Next, add the wet batter ingredients. This means cracking in the egg, pouring in the milk, melted butter and vanilla essence.

Then, whisk the batter until it's free of lumps.

3. Prep Crock Pot

Perhaps the most fun step is to arrange the peach slices along the bottom of your crock pot in a circular formation.

Then sprinkle the fruit generously with brown sugar.

4. Pour In Batter

Next, pour the batter mixture into your crock pot so it covers the peaches. Make sure to scrape in every last drop to completely cover the peaches.

5. Seal With Paper Towels

Drape paper towels over the lid of your crock pot before placing the lid on. This helps collect condensation during baking and will help keep your cake from becoming soggy.

6. Cook With Crock Pot

It's time to bake the cake! After placing the lid on your crock pot, turn the knob to its high setting and sit back while your cake bakes for 2 – 2 1/2 hours.

7. Test If The Cake Is Done

After 2 hours, poke a toothpick into your cake to check if it's done. If the toothpick comes out clean, it's ready to start cooling.

However, if it isn't clean, leave the cooker on high for another 15 minutes and check again. Repeat as needed until cake is cooked through.

8. Turn Cake Upside Down

When the cake is done cooking, remove the ceramic liner from your crock pot and let it cool for about 15 minutes.

To loosen the cake, run a knife along the edges. Then place a plate on top of the dish and flip it upside down.

9. Sprinkle Cake With Confectioners Sugar
