The Academy Award-winning actor was recently featured on a PBS Show called "Finding Your Roots," which delves into the family trees of celebrities, often digging up surprising results — but never before has a star been so affected by the findings.

By the time she arrived in New York, records show that Libby suffered from extreme physical disabilities, including senility, amputation of an extremity, and 20/70 vision. Despite the fact that Dustin had no idea she even existed before this moment, he now describes her as the hero of his family. "People ask me today, 'What are you?' I say, 'I'm a Jew.' They all survived for me to be here."
According to DoSomething.org, 11 million people were killed during the Holocaust. 1.1 million of those victims were children. 6 million of those victims were Jewish. Other groups targeted by the Nazis were Jehovah’s Witnesses, homosexuals, disabled people, and Roma.
