When the skies over Las Vegas suddenly opened, drivers north of the city had no idea how serious the situation was. In minutes, a flash flood swept through, strong enough to overturn vehicles and send them spinning out of control through the powerful currents.
An elderly couple's Toyota Prius was one of the cars trapped in the flood, and with the massive force of the current pushing against their doors, they were unable to escape. Fortunately for them these brave Airmen happened to be on the side of the road and risked their lives to come to their rescue. They may not want to be called "heroes", but there are at least two people who will live the rest of their lives thinking of them as exactly that.
