Nuggets, chicken sandwiches, waffle fries, and THAT lemonade — Chick-fil-A is life. There’s truly nothing better… except for this photo shoot inspired by its food, that is.
Bre Bradford, a 28-year-old expectant mama from Florida, not only wanted to avoid a #basic maternity shoot, but also wanted to pay homage to her pregnancy cravings, which include a lot of chicken sandwiches.
With the help of her sister Hayley Davis, Bradford came up with the perfect concept for a shoot: her pregnant self sitting on the floor, eating Chick-fil-A, surrounded by piles of nuggets. The results are glorious.
“We live on the beach so everybody takes their maternity pictures on the beach,” Bradford told People. “I love Chick-fil-A, so I was just like, ‘Let’s just go buy some chicken nuggets.’ So that’s what we did.” And the rest is history — hysterical, mouth-watering history.
Bradford is already mom to a 2-year-old son, who woke up from a nap during her maternity shoot to eat some nuggets himself, she told the magazine. (Honestly, we don’t blame him.)
“Most of the pictures we took we ended up not being able to use because we were laughing the whole time,” she recalled.
To Bradford, it was important to depict a side of pregnancy that’s not normally represented in maternity shoots; growing another human inside you isn’t always gowns and glamour. Plus, participating in a shoot that revolved around having fun and eating chicken, she said, was much less stressful than the shoot she did during her first pregnancy.
