Woman Learns To Do What Every Man Dreads In Order To Stay Safe When She’s Out On Her Own

While it is the year 2016, and we've come a long way in some ways, there's still a long way to go to make this world safe for all people.

Women still don't feel safe when walking around on their own. Especially if it's dark out, it can be really, truly scary. One look at the news and you'll see that women are attacked all too often.

We need a better, more effective means of self-defense.

Krav Maga is a form of martial arts that was created in the 1930s as a way of fighting off anti-Semites threatening the Jewish population of Bratislava, Czechoslovakia, which is now Slovakia. This is not a martial art form that aims to defeat your opponent fair and square. Krav Maga is, first and foremost, a means of protection at any cost to the opponent.

That means that punches to the face and kicks to the groin are not only fair play, but essential moves to master.

Allison Hagendorf steps into this Krav Maga studio to learn some of these lifesaving moves. They're not too complicated, so every able-bodied woman will be able to learn how to do them.

Plus, learning these routines gives you a great workout, but that's just really an added bonus to your safety in a fight against an aggressive stranger.

Do you think you might look into learning some of these moves? They honestly could save your skin in a very scary situation. Sometimes playing dirty is really the only way to make it out of certain situations.
