A Pride Of Lions Surround A Giraffe And Her Baby. What The Mom Does Is Incredible!

This is some incredible footage, taken from Kicheche Bush Camp in the heart of the Olare Motorogi Conservancy in Kenya. Long-time visitors Bill and Barbara Westbrook were lucky enough to capture this breathtaking scene — a strong mother giraffe takes on an entire pride of hungry lions and successfully protects her calf! Watch as the lions approach, then completely back down as soon as they sense mom's power and determination to keep her and her baby safe from harm. The two giraffes cling to each other, then walk off into the grass together, unharmed.

Nothing comes between a mother and her baby, right?!
