Kristi needed some interesting shelving in her boutique, so she turned to an extremely unexpected place: the coffee table.
She purchased a vintage coffee table and two end tables off of Craigslist for a mere $20. Shelving units can often cost twice what Kristi paid for all three tables!
Kristi and her husband cut the tables directly down the middle lengthwise and attached them to the wall.
She painted each new shelf with a different color from her very own paint brand.
She displayed smaller vintage items for sale on each of her coffee table shelves. But with such a unique display, many customers likely wish they could buy the shelves right off of the wall!
Kristi has come up with plenty of other interesting and beautiful upcycled furniture pieces as well, like this bench made from the headboard of an old bed.
She created an amazing light fixture by stringing lights through a metal army cot from the 1940s.
And when Kristi bought a dresser with two top drawers that were beyond repair, she turned it into this gorgeous bench! The last remaining shelf from the dresser became a perfect storage space for extra pillows.
With Kristi's wonderful eye for creative design, she has been able to breathe new life into run-down and forgotten vintage furniture.
