Some celebrities might be wildly wealthy and own multiple homes on multiple coasts, but some of them also love trashy reality TV like the rest of us. Like Rosie O’Donnell, who has made her affection for TLC’s Sister Wives known over the years. And when she turned on the series after not watching it for a while, she was surprised and delighted to see that former star Kody Brown is no longer part of it.
She posted about it on Instagram and made her thoughts on Kody pretty clear. Both Kody and his wife Robyn Brown left Sister Wives ahead of its Season 21 premiere in 2026. Prior to that, Kody’s other wives, Janelle, Meri, and Christine Brown, split from him and their individual spiritual marriages. But all three women are still on the show, apparently much to Rosie’s delight.

When Rosie posted about Sister Wives on Instagram, she wrote about how “fascinating” it will be to see the women on the show without him. There was no mention of Robyn, so it’s not clear where Rosie stands on Kody’s current and, for now, only wife, but she clearly is not a fan of Kody at least.
“So I just put on season 21 of sister wives – after not watching for a decade – and found out happily Kody is not on it anymore!!!!” Rosie wrote in the caption of a promotional photo of Meri, Janelle, and Christine. “It’s actually interesting to see these women after him – fascinating in many ways @sisterwivestlc.”

Users commented on Rosie’s post to share their own interest in Sister Wives without Kody on it for the first time. They also told Rosie how they, too, are interested in continuing the follow the individual journeys of the women on the show rather than any more of Kody’s story.
“I love so much that you watch this,” one follower commented on Rosie’s Instagram post. “It’s one of my guilty pleasures, and I love watching these women thrive.”
Another person wrote, “Omfg the best crossover I’ve ever seen lol.”
But Sister Wives isn’t the only TLC show that Rosie is into. When a producer from TLC’s Baylan Out Loud commented on the post to tell Rosie to watch that show too, she responded, “Yes I watch it and love the whole show.”

When Leon Brown, Kody and Meri’s only child, began to share their story on social media, Rosie was a vocal supporter. Leon has come out to share allegations about Kody being an unsupportive father during their transition, even if Kody once shared support for Leon coming out on Sister Wives.
When Leon opened up about it on Instagram in June 2026, Rosie quickly commented, “Speak ur truth young one.”
On Reddit at the time, one user celebrated Rosie’s call-out with, “Damn big name shout out from Rosie, go Leon!” Clearly, Rosie has been keeping up with the Browns, even if sometimes it’s about keeping up with their stories on social media and less so on Sister Wives.
But she’s still kind of an official superfan at this point.
