Beauty Vlogger Turns Bubble Gum Into DIY Lipstick

We already know that you can make lipstick out of crayons, but now we’re about to learn one of the wackiest and most unique DIY beauty hacks ever: How to make lipstick out of bubblegum… in any shade!

The process couldn’t be easier. YouTube beauty vlogger Rachel of "Rclbeauty101" says all you need are a couple pieces of bubble gum (Rachel uses Dubble Bubble) one scoop of Vaseline and a few drops of food coloring in the color of your choice. Pop the mixture into the microwave for 30 seconds, mix, then heat for 30 more seconds. Then, stir the product and scoop it into an empty lipstick container. After five minutes in the freezer, you're now the proud owner of lipstick made out of chewing gum.

I love how she creates lipstick in every color of the rainbow. These shades are bright, bold, and thanks to the petroleum jelly, they go on smooth and silky.

According to Wikipedia, "In 1928, Walter E. Diemer, an accountant for the Fleer Chewing Gum Company in Philadelphia, was experimenting with new gum recipes. One recipe was found to be less sticky than regular chewing gum, and stretched more easily. This gum became highly successful and was eventually named by the president of Fleer as Dubble Bubble because of its stretchy texture. The original bubble gum was pink in color because that was the only dye Diemer had on hand at the time and it was his favorite color."
