There's no Sonic Drive-In where I live, so whenever I visit home, I make sure I stop by and order a cheeseburger with cheesy tots and a cherry limeade. Or a coney dog with fries and a shake. Or the chicken toaster club with…OK. You get the point. I really like Sonic.
I try to limit my fast food intake for the obvious health reasons, but I enjoy my occasional treats. Fast food is comforting because you know exactly what you're going to get and the menu is the same almost anywhere.
Except, certain fast food restaurants have secret menus that you can't find posted in the store, yet every employee is trained to make these specific items. It might sound crazy, but people have been ordering items you've never known about for years. We want to thank Hack the Menu for pointing us to some of these hidden menu items that we're dying to try.
Sometimes the individual location has come up with food items, or they are just discontinued menu items that people still crave. Conversely, some menu items have just become so requested by customers that employees know what they are.
For example, you probably know the Big Mac and Happy Meal at McDonald's, but what about the Poor Man's Big Mac? Ever tried the McKinley Mac?
Let us know if you've ever had any of these secret menu items. Try ordering them and let us know in the comments if it works for you!
