Pip, Britain’s Smallest Pug, Overcomes Early Health Concerns

There really aren't a whole lot of things that are cuter than a tiny little puppy . Their puppy breath, teeny little paws, adorable little cries and yelps, and just their general fluffiness makes them almost impossible to resist.

We've even seen other animals who have a hard time resisting their cuteness, like one mamma cat who took in a puppy as her own.

The teensy pug in this video, Pip, has been declared "Britain's Smallest Pug," standing less than four inches tall. While she is absolutely adorable, it hasn't been a smooth ride for this little girl.

Although they may actually have it the hardest during the first few weeks of their lives, it is not uncommon for people to seek out the runt of the litter, hoping that their extra small puppy may stay looking like a puppy even as they grow into adult dogs. There are even breeders who will put dogs' health second and money first when they intentionally breed puppies to be extra small. However, this was not the case with Pip.

As one of four puppies in her litter, Pip's size was a fluke, and it meant that she would have to be extra tough to overcome all the challenges that faced her. Fighting off multiple bouts of pneumonia, and becoming a regular at the vet's office are just a few of the things this tiny dog has done in her short life, and while her owner says it was a "struggle to keep her alive," Pip is now on her way to living a healthy and long life.
