Whether you realize it or not, when you have a baby or a small child, they really do watch your every move, and sometimes they even try to copy you.
Whether they are listening to the way you talk and the words you say, or they are trying to do the same physical things that you do, they somehow see and hear it all…and you'd better believe they are going to try it out for themselves.
Sometimes these little copycats make us laugh until our tummies hurt. The video of little Josie cracked us up when she repeated a naughty word in her very adult rant to her family. And the now-infamous video of a little girl who used bad words when she told her mom how she would rid their house of monsters even had her mom cracking up.
Other times, these tiny copycats can make us a little nervous, as they attempt to do things typically designed for adults, like the 1-year-old boy who skateboards right alongside Dad!
This little gal falls into the second category as she shows off her rock climbing skills…sans harness!
It might make you a little nervous to watch at first, but as the video goes on, it's clear that this 19-month-old girl really loves to monkey her way up the rock wall…and she is really good at it, too!
Her mom says she has to pry her out of the gym every day, so we know we will be seeing her doing some amazing things in the future!

People have been asking for a new climbing video that has more diversity in the movement… well, the Little Zen Monkey has delivered! I had no idea until recently but her last climbing video had over a half million views and was also somehow shared by a few climbing gyms and Deuter packs (the company of that cute little backpack she was wearing). I'm glad others enjoy watching kids climb as much as I do. She's 19 months here. The wall is vertical to start and transitions into a slab towards the top. I had to drag her out of the gym today, even after an hour of play she didn't want to stop climbing! I love how she takes the time to work through the crux and top it out.
