Like a lot of us, celebrity parents have found themselves suddenly spending a whole lot of time with … their kids! Which is great, right? Because wanting more time with our children is what parents are always talking about. Right?
Well, it turns out that celebrity parents are also finding out that spending time with your kids 24/7 is a whole lot of work. And to be real, none of us are sure this is exactly what we signed up for.
But since a lot of celebrity parents are born entertainers, they're making the most of their new living situation and turning to social media to share updates about what's been going on in their homes the last few weeks. Some of it is really, really funny. For example, Jimmy Fallon has had two special helpers while he films The Tonight Show from home: his daughters, Frances and Winnie, who are 5 and 7.
Other celebrities, like Ryan Reynolds, have shared that their kids have new ambitions, too.
Ryan Reynolds does a bunch of things, and one of those is starring as Deadpool in the Marvel film series with the same name. While I doubt his daughters have seen those movies, they are obviously familiar with the Avengers. Ryan shared that his daughters used to want to be pretend superheroes, but now they want to be real superheroes: doctors, nurses, and other health care workers. Suckers.
Ali Wong is a comedian and actress who has given us, among other things, "I Punched Keanu Reeves," a song from her hilarious and sweet film Always Be My Maybe. Ali is also married to Justin Hakuta. While spending all this time at home, the two have co-opted what I assume are their children's costumes, and well … you just have to see it.
Jimmy Fallon is the host of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. He's been filming episodes of the show from home, and his daughters, Frances and Winnie, have been helping him out. It looks like the two children have been having a great time helping their dad, and fans are even saying that Jimmy should consider having them on the show when he's able to film in the studio again.
Comedian Conan O'Brien is dad to two kids, Neve and Beckett. It seems that he and his son, Beckett, are spending a lot of time hanging out and working on Legos together. Conan shared this interesting project — and added that it was meant to be the Lincoln Memorial. If you squint and lean your head to the right, you can see it! I think.
Actress Olivia Wilde is mom to two children, Daisy and Otis. Her children are 6 and 4, which is probably pretty tough right now. She and her husband, actor Jason Sudeikis, have also found themselves homeschooling the kids — and Olivia said that, like many of us, they've turned to Netflix for help. Genius!
Composer and performer Lin-Manuel Miranda and his wife Vanessa have two children, Sebastian and Francisco. Lin shared that he and one of his kids have been having many deep, philosophical conversations. As you can see, they are definitely super deep in nature.
Actress Busy Philipps is one of those people who just seems like a born entertainer — and who can make great content out of pretty much any situation. She proved this again recently when she shared that she let her daughters, Cricket and Birdie, do her makeup for a night in. She said that they "unintentionally turned me into a Marvel villain" but "I'm into it."
Actress Alyson Hannigan is also wrestling with homeschooling her children, Satyana and Keeva. It seems that everyone in the family was hoping that "remote learning" had more to do with using the remote to watch television and less to do with working on schoolwork assigned over a computer.
John Legend and Chrissy Teigen have always been pretty open about sharing glimpses into their family's life, and right now the pair is on point. They recently officiated a wedding for two of their daughter's stuffed animals, and naturally they filmed it to bring the internet great joy.
Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard are another celebrity couple who often share funny things their kids are up to. Kristen recently posted a photo of one of their children, just to let us know everything will be OK: The lab is working on a vaccine at this very moment, and it's looking pretty promising.
