Sometimes in the hustle and bustle of your day, you can miss some details. One woman thought that was what was happening to her when she went to pick up her dog from the groomers and the pup looked a little different.
At first, Tykesha Cherry just made her way back to her car with what she believed was her 10-month-old Maltese poodle, Lucky. But the more she looked at the dog once she got to her car, the more she felt like something was up. She decided to send a picture of the dog to her boyfriend, Quinn Young.
Quinn was able to confirm that it wasn't her dog. Tykesha was annoyed. She took to Facebook to warn others in her area about the groomer.
"Went to groomingdales on 21st street and they messed up. They gave me the wrong dog in pic 1 when the puppy in pic 2 is actually mine ," she wrote.
"I just kept looking at him outside in the parking lot like you look so different smh thank goodness I called Quinn to make sure I wasn't tripping before I pulled off because who knows where lil lucky would have been. I'm highly pissed tf off ."
"I went to pick up my puppy, I went in and the lady at the desk said, 'Oh, you're here for Bentley?'" she recalled to Southwest News Service, per People.
"I said, 'No, I'm here for Lucky.' As she's walking away to fetch the dog, I was dealing with the receipt. I look up, and there's a dog in my face."
She took the dog back into the salon to have the situation straightened out.
"I was like, 'This isn't my dog, where's my dog? Where's my puppy?'" she shared.
"They were shocked, everybody was in shock. I get the mix-up, they're both white, but I thought they'd have tags in the back or something."
Despite his appearance in the photo, the other dog, Bentley, was very sweet. "He wasn't growling at me, he was the sweetest dog and very much clingy," Tykesha said.
"I know he looked mean in the photo, but he wasn't at all."
