My dog Zephyr is a picky eater. There, I said it. He does like to eat, but frankly he's quite choosy about what he will actually swallow. I've seen him sniff at a perfectly good dog treat for 30 seconds, touch it daintily with his tongue, then run in the other room and dive under our bed (his safe space).
Zephyr is a pretty lucky (spoiled) boy. He gets to try all sorts of dog foods, and we also will cook him the occasional egg or rice dish when we want to give him something a bit special because he's a good dog and he deserves it!
But he's especially lucky because recently he got the chance to try fresh freeze-dried dog food from Get Joy. Get Joy sent us a few bags of the beef variety to see what Zephyr thought. Get Joy is approved and developed by animal nutritionists for good gut health.
Out with the old processed kibble and in with the good stuff! Zephyr no longer refuses any meals. I can't blame the guy; he knows good quality. I've seen him turn his nose up at plenty of grocery store kibbles, but as soon as he hears me pouring out his food from the little green bag, he's in the kitchen and at 100% attention. His reaction to the food has been entirely positive, and his health and vitality are at an all-time high.
Zeph's also a fan of the freeze-dried 100% beef heart treats made to encourage endurance. According to Get Joy, the treats are recommended by veterinarians and contain one single ingredient: beef hearts. That's it — absolutely nothing else.
I'm sure Z would be excited to try all of the other snacks and treats from Get Joy, and your pooch probably would, too!
