Mom Gives Birth Twice In A Year When She Thinks She Can’t Get Pregnant While Breastfeeding

Although modern medicine and research can tell us how the body works during various stages of pregnancy and post-pregnancy, there are still old wives’ tales passed down to us from our mothers and grandmothers that we will believe.

Mom Eliza Curby believed one of these theories: if a woman was breastfeeding, she couldn’t get pregnant.

Of course, many of us know this is not true. Eliza was so convinced, though, that she and her partner didn’t use contraception in the weeks after she gave birth to their daughter.

Then, just a few weeks after giving birth, the new mom woke up with a pounding headache. Her intuition kicked in: she somehow knew that she was pregnant.

A visit to her doctor confirmed her suspicions, though it took three pregnancy tests before the fourth one came back positive. But there was another surprise for the shocked parents. They were expecting twins! Eliza and her partner were reportedly quite nervous and even terrified of the unexpected pregnancy, but fear was soon replaced by excitement.

With the arrival of the twins, Eliza gave birth twice in just one year and found herself caring for three children. She may have a full home, but it’s also full of love!
