Woman Describes Strange Tinder Date With Idaho Murder Suspect Bryan Kohberger

Online dating can be a wild ride. One woman recently discovered she went on a Tinder date in 2015 with a man who is now a murder suspect. Hayley Willette, now working as a nurse, opened up about this on TikTok.

She said that she just made the discovery last week because she had not been following the news closely. When she saw Bryan Kohberger’s mugshot, she was shocked. Kohberger is currently facing charges for the murders of four University of Idaho students. Willette went on a bad date with Kohberger when she was still in college.

“As soon as I saw his mug shot, I knew. He just has an unforgettable face,” she told The Daily Beast. Willette described Kohberger as a “quiet but not shy” psych major. The pair matched in the morning and went on a date that evening. Kohberger “mentioned he wanted to go to the movies and asked if I’d like to go with him.” Willette thought that sounded like a fun idea.

“I got off work and met him at the theater. He paid for my movie ticket but he didn’t want popcorn, so I ended up buying some for myself. We watched the movie and then he said he would take me back to my dorm,” she said.

Things took a turn when they got to her dorm. He parked instead of just dropping her off. He “started being really pushy about coming” inside. Once inside he kept trying to touch her and “got super serious” when Willette confronted him about it. She got so uncomfortable that she went to the bathroom to get away from him.

Kohberger followed her to the bathroom and “waited outside the door. I thought that was the weirdest thing so I was like, ‘I need to get this guy to leave’ but I didn’t wanna be mean, so I started to pretend to loudly throw up,” she recalled. “After a minute or two, he messaged me on Tinder saying he was going to go.”

Later she got a bizarre message from him saying she “had good birthing hips.” She never messaged him back or saw him again. “I don’t know if I’m a good judge of character either way, but I don’t feel surprised that he was arrested for it, either,” she concluded.
