Kyle Chrisley Faces Aggravated Assault Charges After Alleged Physical Altercation At Work

Sometimes when it rains, it pours. The extended Chrisley family, of Chrisley Knows Best fame, is experiencing this firsthand. They cannot seem to stay away from legal troubles.

On Monday, March 13, 2023, Kyle Chrisley was arrested by the Smyrna Police Department in Tennessee. He faces aggravated assault charges after an incident at work. He has not yet publicly commented on the matter. Meanwhile, his dad and stepmom, Todd and Julie Chrisley, are serving their sentences for fraud while actively trying to appeal. It’s a bumpy time for the whole family.

Kyle is currently employed by a truck rental company in Smyrna. The incident that got Kyle into trouble was an alleged physical altercation with his supervisor, during which a fixed blade was reportedly wielded by Kyle. He turned himself in to authorities the following day.

Smyrna Police confirmed in a press release that Kyle "voluntarily appeared … for booking procedures related to the active criminal warrant." He was then transported to Rutherford County Adult Detention Center with a bond of $3,000. His next scheduled court appearance is on March 20.

Just two months ago, Todd Chrisley reported to the Federal Prison Camp, Pensacola to serve his 12-year sentence. Stepmom Julie Chrisley also reported but to a different location, the Federal Correctional Institution and Federal Prison Camp, Marianna. Her sentence is seven years. Both are actively working to appeal while simultaneously serving their time.
