Gwyneth Paltrow’s Children Apple And Moses Martin Share What They Know About Ski Accident

It’s a balancing act being a celebrity’s child. They have many doors opened but also have to deal with the vitriol of the press and public. Children of celebrities did not choose this life.

That might be one of the reasons that Gwyneth Paltrow’s kids, Apple and Moses, did not testify in person in the lawsuit against their mother over a 2016 skiing accident as was originally planned. Instead, on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, a stand-in read their depositions. Perhaps this allowed them more privacy.

Apple did not see the accident firsthand. “I did hear some commotion, but I was further down, so I decided to continue to go down to the lodge,” her deposition states.

When she reunited with her mom, she could tell Gwyneth was in “shock” and “pain.”

“She came in … and I asked what had happened, and she said, ‘This a–hole ran into me. He ran right into my back,'” Apple's deposition continues.

Apple went on to say that after the accident with Dr. Terry Sanderson, Gwyneth was “clearly visibly upset.” She was “shaken up,” which impacted her plans for the rest of the day. Gwyneth can normally shake things off but instead stopped skiing for the rest of the day, which was not normal for her.

“She decided after that she was not going to ski for the rest of the day, which she never does. She always stays on,” Apple states.

Unlike Apple, Moses saw the incident occur. “I recall skiing with my instructor and briefly seeing the collision. I saw my mother and a person behind her … who had crashed,” he explains in his deposition.

Gwyneth and Terry disagree on the details of the accident. Terry claims Gwyneth crashed into him. He is suing for $300,000 in damages. Gwyneth claims Terry crashed into her. She is countersuing for $1 and her legal fees.

Moses admits his mom did not react well to Terry crashing into her. “She was saying something along the lines of, ‘What the F-word? You just ran into me,'” his deposition says.

It is not known at this time if Gwyneth's husband, Brad Falchuk, will take the stand. He was also on the trip, which occurred before he and Gwyneth married.
