Marvel’s Jeremy Renner Opens Up About Being Run Over By A Snowplow For The First Time

Marvel actor Jeremy Renner recently sat down with Diane Sawyer and opened up about the reality of his recent snowplow accident. This was his first interview since the accident occurred.

According to a Nevada sheriff's office incident report, Jeremy was trying to save his nephew from getting hit by his snowplow when the actor got pulled under and crushed by it. Jeremy was airlifted to the hospital and stayed for more than two weeks in the ICU and undergoing multiple surgeries.

In his interview with Diane Sawyer, he details the day of the accident. He went over his list of injuries, which included more than 30 broken bones.

"I was awake through every moment," he said when asked if he remembered the pain.

The 52-year-old actor got emotional about the accident, saying he "chose to survive."

"You're not gonna kill me. No way."

He shared an Instagram post weeks after his accident showing a glimpse into his recovery process.

"Morning workouts, resolutions all changed this particular new years …. Spawned from tragedy for my entire family, and quickly focused into uniting actionable love ❤️," he said in the caption.

Many took to the comment section to leave love, including Paramount Plus, which commented, "Nothing can stop you. Sending all our love to you, Mr. Mayor ."

"So grateful that you are going to recover. Grateful that your family and fans didn’t lose you. Sending strength and love to help you heal! ❤️," another commenter wrote.

Jeremy also shared a post on Twitter showing him walking on a treadmill. "I now have to find OTHER things to occupy my time so my body can recover from my will," he tweeted, along with the hashtags #minduful, #intended, and #recovery.

Though having been involved in such a terrible accident, the Marvel actor is determined to make a full recovery and get back to his normal everyday agenda. He's planning to attend the premiere of his new Disney+ reality series on April 11, which will be his first public event since the accident.

Diane asked if he sees himself the same when he looks in the mirror now, to which he replied, "Nah, I see a lucky man."

"I've lost a lot of flesh and bone in this experience, but I've been refueled and refilled with love and titanium," Renner affirmed of himself.
