Hollywood has come under fire for nepotism as of late, but that has always been around. Sometimes it is surprisingly sweet, such as the relationship between Jamie Lee Curtis and godson Jake Gyllenhaal. The pair recently walked the red carpet together at the premiere of Jake’s new film, The Covenant.
Jake’s parents are director Stephen Gyllenhaal and screenwriter Naomi Foner. Jamie is a friend of the family. She has long supported her godson and revealed he even lived with her during the pandemic lockdowns.
"He also lived with me during COVID for almost a year. He and Jeanne [Cadieu] lived in the house next door that I have. And so there was also that. For a minute,” Jamie said. She also revealed Jake, like many, learned to make sourdough bread during quarantine. "He made a lot of sourdough bread, a lot," she recalled. Thankfully the bread was "very good."
Jake admits he is still into sourdough, even though the pandemic is essentially over. "I am still eating sourdough," he said. "Yes. I haven't stopped. Even though we're out of the pandemic, I am still making sourdough."

Jamie got nostalgic on the red carpet remembering the advice she once gave Jake when he was starting out.
"I sort of looked at him and said, 'I've done this for a long time. You're just starting. There may be things your parents don't have the experience, strength, and hope that I do. Please use that if you need to,'" she recalled. Sounds like Jamie is a great person to have in your corner.
