Shakira's sons make an emotional appearance in her new music video. Milan, 10, and Sasha, 8, are seen playing the piano and singing with their mom. The music video is for her song “Acróstico,” which is dedicated to her kids.
"You taught me that love is not a scam, and that when it’s real it doesn’t end / I tried to stop you from seeing me cry, I didn't want you to see my fragility," the song starts off. "And even though life treated me like this / I will be strong just for you."
The intro to the video shows a basketball hoop, toys, skateboards, and a child's room among a few things related to her sons. Then you see a shot of their hands playing on the piano along with their mom.

The song was personally dedicated to her sons, which then made them want to be a part of the video. The lyrics talk about how they taught her the real meaning of love and how she only wants the best for them.
The 46-year-old singer posted on Instagram about the experience. Originally posted in Spanish, the English translation read, “This year Milan has written songs that have made me tear up with emotion and Sasha has spent hours at the piano, discovering his voice. Both have been by my side in the studio and upon hearing this song dedicated to them they asked me to be a part of it.”
She went on to share how the song became just as personal to her two sons. “They have felt it and interpreted it in their own way and for themselves, with the passion and emotion that a person who carries music within them does."
Shakira ended the post with a heartfelt message directed to her son. "Milan and Sasha, it’s so beautiful to see how you spread your wings to make your dreams come true," she said. "There is nothing else that makes me feel more fulfilled than being your mother."
Throughout the video, her sons are playing the piano and taking turns singing. References to her ex-husband and father of her kids, Gerard Piqué, are also made.
The former couple split in 2022 after 11 years. Shakira and her sons moved away from Spain to start over. “Not all dreams in life come true,” she shared. “But life finds a way to make it up to you in some way.”
