During Karoline Leavitt’s time in the White House, she worked closely with makeup artist Brittany Danielle. After she left her role as press secretary and shared an Instagram post about her life at the end of her tenure and afterward, Danielle was included. One photo in the slideshow shows Danielle freshening up Leavitt’s lips for a televised appearance.
Danielle left a comment on the post to make fun of herself. Although some of Leavitt’s supporters took it the wrong way, Leavitt herself replied to Danielle. The two women probably won’t work together again, but it seems they developed a bond during those late nights and early mornings at the White House.

Leavitt’s post in early September 2026 shows photos from August 2026. She stepped down from her role in August and publicly explained that she wanted to spend more time at home with her husband and two small children. The first photo in the slideshow is of Danielle and Leavitt, followed by Leavitt walking near the White House.
There are also shots of Leavitt with her husband and kids, and on the golf course. Apparently, her quasi-retirement is treating her well. Before she shared that collection of photos on Instagram, Leavitt posted a photo with her infant, along with another photo with the words, “There is a small person who thinks your arms are the safest place on earth. Nothing you achieve will ever mean more than that.”

Danielle commented on the post, “Welp…at least YOU look pretty. (1st pic).” She clearly meant to poke fun at herself, since she is seen in a candid way and she’s much less posed than Leavitt in that photo or any of the other pictures in the slideshow. Leavitt immediately responded, “You always look pretty.”
However, other users took Danielle’s comment to be some kind of attack on Leavitt.
One person commented, “All the pictures dummy.”
“Always pretty,” another wrote.
Others pointed out that some missed the point of Danielle’s self-deprecating comment. As a professional makeup artist, Danielle probably expects to look less glamorous than any of her subjects at any given time, including the shot of her applying Leavitt’s lipstick. And, outside of their work together, Danielle and Leavitt seem to have a strong bond.
In July 2026, Danielle posted about Leavitt and how she “fangirled” when she met her for the first time.
“This was the very first time I met Karoline, and after this photo, I introduced myself and asked if she needed a hair and makeup artist,” Danielle wrote in the caption. “Sometimes you just have to put yourself out there — you never know what opportunities might come from one conversation. Looking back, I realize that so much of life is about being in the right place at the right time and having the courage to take a chance.”
Karoline Leavitt’s makeup artist is close to other members of Donald Trump’s inner circle.
Danielle might not be Leavitt’s personal makeup artist anymore, but she still has plenty of work thanks to other people close to Trump in the White House. According to her own Instagram, Danielle has worked with Trump’s daughter-in-law Lara Trump, his ex-wife Marla Maples, and Trump himself.
Though she didn’t share what kind of makeup or hair styling she has done for Trump, in July 2025, Danielle posted a photo with Trump, which is now pinned to her profile. In the caption, she added a hand heart emoji and a couple of American flags for good measure.
