Robert Irwin Is Bitten On The Face By The Same Snake Species That Bit His Dad: ‘Déjà Vu’

Robert Irwin recently shared a video of him trying to help a python snake on the side of the road, only for the snake to turn around and bite him in multiple places on his face. Feel like a déjà vu moment? Well it is, because his father, Steve Irwin, also got bit in the face by the same snake species.

The 19-year-old also posted the throwback video of his late father getting bit in the face and compared it to his own.

"Déjà vu. Dad and me getting bitten by the same species of snake (carpet python) decades apart," he said. "I found this python on the side of a road, but as you can see, sometimes snake rescues don’t quite go to plan ."

"I got a little too close, so he gave me a bite," Robert said. "They've got extremely sharp teeth like little needles."

People in the comments shared their reactions to the moment.

"I don’t know why… but I find this so touching. They look so much alike. And you took that bite like a champ. I’m sure you’re father is looking down at you beaming with pride. ❤️," one user commented.

While it's treasurable to see Steve's son following in his footsteps, hopefully Robert can avoid these kind of accidents in the future!
