A woman experiencing neck tightness went to a chiropractor for some relief and came out paralyzed after suffering several major health complications.
This video posted by Inside Edition shares how 29-year-old Caitlyn Jensen suffered four ruptured arteries, a stroke, and cardiac arrest from a routine neck adjustment during a chiropractic visit.
The news outlet shares footage of Caitlyn being welcomed into her new home for the first time by her brother and mom as everything has been designed to accommodate and give her full access in her wheelchair.
Inside Edition reports that during Caitlyn’s visit to a chiropractor, the sudden force that was applied to Caitlyn’s neck in order to thrust the neck to pop a stubborn joint back into place resulted in a “crunching” noise and feeling that resulted in grave results.
Four arteries in her neck were ruptured and she suffered multiple strokes as well as cardiac arrest. Caitlyn spent two months in the ICU and has been going through a grueling rehabilitation ever since.
She’s lost the ability to swallow and has to be fed through a tube in her stomach. She even uses a digital letter board to talk.
