Sinéad O’Connor Gave Her Children Specific Instructions About What To Do If She Died

Sinéad O'Connor had specific instructions for her kids to follow in the event of her death. In a 2021 interview with People magazine, she opened up about stressing the importance of protecting her art and finances to her kids if she died. According to what she said in the interview, she instructed her kids to call someone else before dialing 911.

"See, when the artists are dead, they're much more valuable than when they're alive," she stated then. "Tupac has released way more albums since he died than he ever did alive, so it's kind of gross what record companies do."

"That's why I've always instructed my children since they were very small, 'If your mother drops dead tomorrow, before you called 911, call my accountant and make sure the record companies don't start releasing my records and not telling you where the money is,'" she continued. "All musicians, we have songs that we really are embarrassed about that are crap. We don't want anyone hearing them," she further said in reference to how record labels profited off of Prince's music after he died.
