Jamie Foxx is full of gratitude, and for good reason. He took to Instagram to express deep thanks for his sister, Deidra Dixon, for saving his life. The actor was recently hospitalized after suffering a medical condition.
His daughter, Corinne Fox, had made the announcement on April 12: "We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday. Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time."
On August 1, Jamie wished his sister a happy birthday and gave thanks. "Happy birthday to my beautiful for sister @frequency11 'D'… you are magical you are beautiful you are the courageous lionesses #leoseason," the post read. "And without you I would not be here… had you not made the decisions that you made I would’ve lost my life…. I love you forever and ever happy birthday sis."
He shared a carousel of images that showed him and his sister over the years. This post comes after he recently addressed his hospitalization. He credited both Deidra and Corinne for saving him. “I cannot tell you how great it feels to have your family kick in, in such a way, and y’all know they kept it airtight, they didn’t let nothing out,” he shared. “They protected me. And that’s what I hope everyone could have in the moments like these.”

He also shared that he "went to hell and back" while recovering. “I cannot even begin to tell you how far it took me and how it brought me back,” he said. “I went through something that I thought I would never ever go through. I know a lot of people were waiting or wanting to hear updates, but to be honest with you, I just didn’t want you to see me like that.”
