Riley Keough Reveals What It Was Like Having Michael Jackson And Nicolas Cage As Stepdads

As Elvis Presley's granddaughter, Riley Keough has led a star-studded life. To her it was simply normal. She recently opened up to Vanity Fair about her relationship with her mother, the late Lisa Marie Presley. Her famous stepfathers were a natural topic of conversation in the interview.

Lisa Marie was married four times in her life. Riley is the product of her first marriage to musician Danny Keough. The couple also had a son, Benjamin Keough, who died by suicide in 2020 at the age of 27. Danny and Lisa Marie divorced in 1994 but remained extremely close.

Lisa Marie married Michael Jackson just 20 days after divorcing Danny. "My whole childhood was probably very extreme. In hindsight, I can see how crazy these things would be to somebody from the outside. But when you're living in them, it's just your life and your family. You just remember the love, and I had real love for Michael,” she stated.

She loved him so much she preferred his house to Elvis' former home in Tennessee, Graceland. "I spent more time at Neverland than Graceland, to be honest," she explained of Michael's home in California. "That was a real home, whereas Graceland was a museum in my lifetime."

Lisa Marie and Nicolas Cage were married in 2002. The short-lived marriage lasted a couple of months, so Riley did not have much to say about Nicolas other than she admired his talent and would love to work with him someday. "I've had some wild stepfathers. Famous and not famous," she mused.
