Woman Feels Like She’s Pregnant With Multiples, But Her Ultrasound Shows Empty Stomach

There are some people’s stories that are not only inspirational, but profoundly moving for the simple fact that they made it through an incredibly tough situation with nothing but perseverance, heart, and determination.

This video story posted by Wonderbot shares how a woman named Michelle Velez happily discovered she was pregnant and felt as though she was expecting multiple babies only to find out she suffered a pregnancy loss that turned into cancer.

Michelle is a proud mother of two who has been married to her devoted husband Alex for over 10 years. According to Inside Edition, Michelle also had a successful career as she worked as a television news anchor for KSNV in Las Vegas, Nevada.

After she stopped working in television due to a hectic schedule, she was able to spend more time with her family. Shortly after that, she started to feel like something was off in her body. She took a home pregnancy test that said she was pregnant.

The couple weren’t trying for a baby but were happy to expand their family unit. But when they went into the hospital for a routine ultrasound, it turned out something was very wrong.

Inside Edition reports that during that ultrasound, the couple were told that “there was nothing in her gestational sac,” and after some time, it was discovered that Michelle was suffering from a molar pregnancy.

The news outlet explains that instead of miscarrying the fetus naturally, Michelle’s molar pregnancy continued to grow, which resulted in a rare and “fast-growing” type of cancer called choriocarcinoma.
