Jimmy Buffett’s Son Cameron Celebrates Late Father: ‘We Had An Amazing Relationship’

Sadly Jimmy Buffett died on September 1, 2023, at the age of 76 after battling Merkel cell carcinoma, a rare and aggressive form of skin cancer. Beyond his numerous adoring fans, Jimmy leaves behind his wife Jane and their three children, Savannah, Sarah Delaney, and Cameron.

His son Cameron took to Instagram on Saturday, September 9, to pay tribute to his dad. Cameron was born in 1994 and was adopted by Jimmy and Jane. It appears that he was close to his dad.

Cameron shared a photo of himself, Jimmy, and their dog relaxing by the beach. Jimmy was all about island escapism, after all. “My dad lived the happiest, most fulfilling life anyone could,” Cameron’s caption begins.

“We had an amazing relationship and I miss him so much,” Cameron continued. “He had an amazing gift of being able to see the positive in everything, and I will try to do the same, for him.” There’s no doubt Cameron will carry on his dad’s incredible legacy.
