A woman was rescued after getting stuck in a public outhouse while trying to retrieve her Apple Watch. The incident took place on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at Dixon Lake in Bagley Township, Michigan. The woman had accidentally dropped her Apple Watch in the toilet.
In an effort to recover the watch, the woman then lowered herself into the toilet, which is when she got stuck and needed some assistance getting herself out. She called the local authorities who, upon arriving, said that they heard her yelling from the outhouse.
First responders had to remove the toilet. They then made a strap in order “to hoist the woman out to safety,” according to the statement.
Michigan State Police spokesman Derrick Carroll shared that the unidentified woman was able to retrieve her watch before being rescued. She also did not suffer any injuries, and thanked first responders for their help.
