You wouldn't believe this insane story unless it was caught on video — and luckily, it was! During a high school football game on September 15, 2023, in Waco, Texas, one of the most amazing catches took place.
But what you wouldn't believe is from where. Kennedy Irwin, 23, a graduate of Baylor University, was riding by the game when she caught the football from the passenger seat of the vehicle that was driving past. Caught on video, the crowd of the football game is heard screaming at the incredible catch.
"We were just driving normal pace, windows down, saw the ball kicked, and saw that it was coming towards us," Kennedy explained of the football game. "I was like, 'Wait, I actually might be able to catch this.'"
The athletic director and head football coach at Live Oak Classical School, Brice Helton, called it a "one in a million" catch. "At first we weren't sure what we saw. It happened so quickly and it was just so normal and natural. It wasn't until the crowd started yelling that we really realized, hey, that did just happen."

“We caught it, and everybody was like 'Wait, what just happened?'” Kennedy recalled. “We were still just driving, and we were like, 'Hey we need to stop and give the ball back.' We threw it back to a kid running down the street.”
