If you find yourself going through a particularly tough news cycle, always keep an eye out for the everyday heroes who make a difference simply by putting a little good out into the world.
Harry Evans had spent half his life working for the Colorado State Police Department. He lived in his hometown of Denver and was so well-known around town for his conscientious police work that the mayor even awarded him with his own keys to the city.
Even though Harry had lost his wife in the line of duty, who had also worked as a police officer for many years, he was still always the type of guy who led with kindness. You could routinely find him serving the streets of Denver with a friendly smile on his face.
After the tragic death of his wife, Harry needed an outlet for his grief. In fact, he had been working on a big case for the department and was about to crack things right open.
For months, there had been complaints from local parents about a day care in the area called Play Mountain Place. Parents suspected the workers of participating in illegal acts with children and after the initial investigation came up empty, Officer Harry Evans was able to help discover what was really going on.
