Sometimes it's understandable when someone gets kicked off a flight. They're a danger to others. They're being rude. They're causing quite the ruckus. But when one lady got kicked off a Southwest Airlines flight for petting her newly adopted puppy, many people were surprised. Some passengers on her flight spoke up, defending and supporting her.
Well, they were kicked off the flight, too. Sara Price captured the incident on video and posted it to her TikTok. It has gained over 155,000 views, and people are not happy.
"Met this lady in the boarding line today @Southwest Airlines She flew out to Colorado Springs to pick up her new little puppy and fly her back home to CA," the caption started off. Sara continued to share that the lady's puppy started whining a little, and the flight attendant boarding everyone told her if she couldn't quiet her dog then she might not be able to get on the flight. So the lady began to pet the puppy, who then stopped whining.
"We board the plane and she has the carrier in her lap still petting the puppy when the same flight attendant came up and said the carrier needed to be zipped completely and put under the seat. Everyone around us was like, what's going on here!? Another flight attendant, dressed as a cat comes up and says 'are we going to have a problem here!?' The lady does as she is told and we start to taxi to the runway." But then the dog starts whining again, and the lady pets the puppy through the outside of the carrier. The flight attendants on the plane had a huddle and then decided to remove the lady from the flight, as shown in the video.

People in the comments were absolutely bewildered by the treatment the woman and other passengers endured.
"@Southwest Airlines this woman didn’t deserve this treatment!" one user commented.
"The crazy thing is sometimes the pet fee is more expensive than our flight," someone else wrote. "My baby flies free and can cry the whole flight but my dog can’t?"
